Tranmere Rovers’ Campus confirmed as potential UEFA Euro 2028 training centre

10 October 2023

Tranmere Rovers are delighted to confirm that The Campus will potentially be used as a training centre for UEFA Euro 2028!

The Club’s training facility in Leasowe is part of a successful bid from the Football Associations of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to host the tournament.

Rovers are proud to support the bid and have worked closely with Liverpool City Council and the FA for over a year as part of the process.

The final list of training centres will be confirmed in due course.

Club Chairman, and former FA Chief Executive, Mark Palios commented:

“It’s great news the UK and Ireland have today been confirmed as hosts of UEFA EURO 2028 and I’m delighted that Tranmere Rovers will be a potential training centre for the tournament.

“The bid has a clear vision to help domestic and European football grow a more diverse and inclusive game and the inclusion in that bid of EFL clubs such as Tranmere as part of the competition infrastructure shows the strength in depth of the professional game in the UK. It is also a testament to the top-class facilities we have been building at the Club over many years.

“We look forward to playing our part in inspiring the next generation of players, fans and volunteers and support the UK and Ireland vision of ‘Football for all. Football for good. Football for the future’.”
