Tranmere Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of left-back Connor Wood on a contract until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old joins the Club after leaving League Two champions Leyton Orient in the summer. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Colchester United, where he made 16 appearances for the U’s.
Having started his career in non-league, he played for Leicester City’s development squad for two years before signing a three-year contract with Bradford City in 2018.
Wood made 115 appearances for the Bantams, scoring three goals and making 10 assists. He joined Orient at the end of his contract at Valley Parade and played 38 times for the London club.
Manager Ian Dawes said: “We are very pleased to welcome Connor into the group. He’s a top professional with lots of experience at this level.
“He fits the description of a Tranmere player. He’s hard working, an excellent defender and has good crossing ability. He is a good pro with a great character and will fit in well with the squad.”
Welcome to Prenton Park, Connor!
