Tranmere Rovers travel to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday 30th September (3pm kick-off), seeking back-to-back league wins.
Nigel Adkins’ side beat Accrington Stanley 2-0 last weekend, thanks to a brace from Josh Hawkes either side of half-time.
Rovers followed this up with a 2-0 win in the Cheshire Senior Cup first round on Tuesday night, against Stockport County at Edgeley Park.
Wimbledon are 8th in League Two, following a 3-1 away triumph against Walsall on Saturday. However, they are yet to win a league game at home this season, drawing three and losing one.
James Tilley has top scored for the Dons so far this term, netting seven goals in eight games, but missed his side’s win at the weekend with a dead leg.
Team news:
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Nigel Adkins confirmed that Chris Merrie suffered an ankle injury in Tuesday's win against Stockport and won't be available for the Wimbledon trip.
Lee O'Connor played the first half in that game, his first minutes since the loss to Salford City on August 19th, and could be in contention.
Paul Lewis and Reece McAlear are back on the grass, but aren't expected to be involved until next week.

One to watch: Jake Reeves
A League Two promotion winner with Stevenage last season, Jake Reeves has been ever consistent for Wimbledon since re-signing in the summer.
The midfielder secured promotion with the Wombles via the Play-Offs in 2017, during a spell in which he made over 100 appearances for the club.
The 30-year-old Dons captain suffered a hamstring injury against Forest Green Rovers in August but returned from the start at the weekend against Walsall. He put in an excellent shift as his side emerged 3-1 victors, assisting the third goal.
Manager: Johnnie Jackson
Johnnie Jackson became manager of AFC Wimbledon in 2022, following a 12-year spell at Charlton Athletic which saw him transform from player to assistant manager, to manager.
The 41-year-old made 279 appearances for the Addicks between 2010 and 2018, winning the League One title in 2012.
He retired and joined the London club as a first-team coach, eventually becoming assistant manager to Lee Bowyer and then Nigel Adkins himself.
Jackson was appointed as manager of the side in December 2021, but left in May the following year.
