Nigel Adkins was disappointed to see his Tranmere side concede four goals at AFC Wimbledon, after a bright start to the first half in London.
Rovers lost 4-1 at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, having took the lead through a Connor Jennings' strike on five minutes.
The visitors played most of the second half with ten men, after Jordan Turnbull was sent off for a high challenge on the halfway line.
"We started both halves well. The goal, a corner we worked on. Our intensity, passing, movement, identity were spot on for 20 minutes," said Adkins post-match.
"Goals change the complexion of games. All four we should've done better on. [The red card] is a fraction, but the referee has got a decision to make and we're down to ten men.
"Unfortunately, we've come away without a point that we've desired, after starting a game ever so well. We haven't won away from home since February. That's got to change."
