Tranmere Rovers’ Connor Jennings spoke to BBC Radio Merseyside’s Derek Jones following his side’s defeat at home to Walsall.
“I thought we started really well. Most of the first half really, we managed the game well, got in front and then a goal just before half time probably killed it.
“Second half, we just didn’t get going at all, all of us. That’s all on us.
“We’re not going to make excuses for the second half. That’s down to us players, we’ll have to take responsibility for that. It wasn’t good enough after a good solid first half, really disappointing second half.
“We’ve got to play for the Club and for ourselves.”
