Tranmere Rovers are delighted to announce that left-back Connor Wood has signed a new one-year contract extension to remain with the Club until at least summer 2025.
Since joining Rovers in September last year, Wood has established himself as a key part of Nigel Adkins’ team, making 29 appearances in total.
The 27-year-old has impressed with his attitude and hard work each day in training, and has been rewarded with fresh terms for next season.
Manager Nigel Adkins said: “I am delighted that Connor Wood has extended his stay with us.
“This follows on from the consistent performances Connor put together once he established himself in the team. We look forward to working with him again next season.”
On signing his new deal, Connor said: “I’d had many conversations with the gaffer and he made it very clear that he wanted me here next year.
“I think for any player to be wanted by a manager is a good feeling for yourself. The gaffer made my decision a lot easier.
“This is like a home away from home now. I’ve come in here, really settled in and found my feet. I’m really enjoying it, so hopefully next season I’ll get a full pre-season and really kick on.”
