Tranmere Rovers are delighted to announce that right-back Lee O’Connor has signed a new one-year contract extension to remain with the Club until at least summer 2025.
Lee has moved back to the right-back position this term where he has previously represented the Republic of Ireland, and has been a consistent performer in the Rovers side.
The 23-year-old made 41 appearances across the 2023/24 campaign, contributing five assists.
Manager Nigel Adkins said: “I am really pleased that Lee O’Connor has extended his stay with us. He has performed well this season in the right-back position forming an effective attacking partnership with Rob Apter.
“We are looking forward to working with Lee again next season.”
On signing his new deal, Lee O’Connor said: “I’ve been here a while now, next year will be my fifth season so it’s somewhere I’ve kind of grew up, I think I was 19 when I came.
“I’ve grown up a lot and I’ve loved every minute of it so I’m excited to continue.”
