Tranmere Rovers manager Nigel Adkins praised his team’s performance in an ‘excellent away victory’, after beating Grimsby Town 2-1 at Blundell Park.
“Excellent away victory. I thought we started the game ever so well, really bright. Even from the kick-off, we got in there.
“A couple of oohs and ahhs, the first ten were really, really good, dominant, front foot, 20 minutes into the game, Connor Jennings had a great opportunity. We played some lovely football, got into some dangerous areas.
“Just the final killer ball at times that we’re looking for, score when you’re on top. From my point of view, we did really well.”
