Fans favourite James Norwood started life in the EFL with a bang, claiming the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award in his first month at this level.

The striker, who scored the winning goal for the Club in the Play-Off final win against Boreham Wood at Wembley in a 2-1 victory, started his career at Exeter City in 2009.

In the November of that same term he would be loaned Isthmian League Premier Division side Sutton United.

Before the start of the 2010/11 season, Norwood would go on loan to Forest Green Rovers. He impressed during his one-month loan and in the December of the same season he would go on loan again to Eastbourne Borough.

In June 2011, Norwood signed a permanent contract at Forest Green Rovers where he had previously spent time on loan. He made 149 appearances, netting 48 times, as well as earning a call up to the England C squad after the 2012/13 season.

In May 2015, Norwood started his journey with Tranmere Rovers and has scored more than 50 goals for the Club so far as his story on the Wirral continues.
