The 19-year-old completed a deadline day loan switch from Everton to Tranmere Rovers and will remain at Prenton Park for the remainder of the season.

A highly-rated talent within the Blues’ academy system, the Birkenhead-born midfielder has cemented his status as a regular under-23s starter in David Unsworth’s side.

In recent months, he has caught the eye when sitting in the base of a midfield three and had made 13 appearances in Premier League 2 during the current campaign prior to his loan switch.

Warrington was awarded the Sir Philip Carter award at Everton at the end of last campaign – an accolade which is presented to individuals who have shown ‘first-class commitment and achievement in their education while at the Academy’.

The teenager was Rovers’ sixth and final signing of the 2022 January transfer window and represents another step forward in the Club's strategy of developing players and establishing good links with teams capable of providing quality players to suit the current brand of football being played.
