'Stokesy' has been with Tranmere Rovers since 2021, working with first team players in pre-habilitation and rehabilitation.
He spent over 30 years in Merseyside Fire and Rescue service, also spending time as a referee between 1995 and when he joined Rovers.
'Stokesy' was an Assistant Referee for the PGMO in the English Football League and Premier League between 2000 and 2009.
After retiring from the fire service in 2009, he studied Sports Rehabilitation at The University of Bolton before taking up his role at Prenton Park.
