Tranmere Rovers Football Club became one of the first professional football clubs in England to join the growing world of eSports in October 2018.

eSports is a form of competition using video games and Tranmere Rovers currently have two official teams playing FIFA 19, one on the PS4 and one on the Xbox One.

The PS4 team currently competes in the Championship South whilst the Xbox One side play in the XVPG Division One. Both sides are in the second tier of their respective Virtual Pro Gaming (VPG) league systems and are battling for promotion to the Premier League.

The format sees 11 players come together to form a team, each taking their own position on the field of play and competing against other eSports clubs online.

The current group of Tranmere Rovers players are from different areas of the country and across the globe.
