THE MATCH

Vanarama National League

Tranmere Rovers vs Hartlepool United

Saturday 28 April 2018

Kick-off 12:30pm at Prenton Park

TEAM NEWS

Tranmere Rovers manager Micky Mellon will select the strongest team available to him for Saturday's final league game of the season against Hartlepool United.

There is a fitness doubt over full-back Adam Buxton who was substituted last weekend in the 2-0 victory over FC Halifax Town with a stomach injury.

Ben Tollitt (knee) and Evan Gumbs (broken leg) are ruled out, while James Wallace and Jake Kirby have returned to light training but will not be ready for this fixture.

Hartlepool United caretaker manager Matthew Bates will have Devante Rodney back available again after the forward missed their last game against Torquay United through suspension.

Defender Carl Magnay may also make a return after missing that game with a hip injury with Conor Newton a doubt after picking up a hamstring injury during that fixture.

Michael Woods and Liam Donnelly are also fitness doubts who will be assessed before the game, but definitely out of the Pools side are Luke George and Kenton Richardson.
