Rovers Sign Striker Mullin

25 June 2018

Tranmere have completed the signing of striker Paul Mullin from Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year old joined up with his new team mates today for the first day of pre-season training at The Campus after completing a medical.

Having been at Liverpool and Everton as a youth, Mullin started his professional career at Huddersfield Town before spending three seasons at Morecambe in League Two.

Last season saw him at Swindon Town, where he scored ten goals in 47 appearances following his summer 2017 move from Morecambe.

Manager Micky Mellon said: “I'm delighted to bring Paul to Tranmere as he's a player I've had my eye on for some time and Swindon just beat us to his signature as a league club last summer. As a local lad, he is keen to return to Merseyside and that has given us an opportunity to secure him, despite a lot of interest from other Clubs.

“His work rate is fantastic, he scores goals and will work well together with James Norwood. I think he's someone who can have a big impact at the Club.

“He's young but he's already got over 160 games experience in League Two and that will be a big help to us this season.”
