Monthe wants positive TRFC response this weekend

16 November 2018

Tranmere Rovers defender Manny Monthe is looking for a response this weekend in front of a sold out away support at Crewe Alexandra.

The centre back, who has played a key role for TRFC this season, spoke to the local media ahead of Tranmere’s short trip to the home of the Railwaymen.

More than 1,500 Rovers fans will be cheering the team and Monthe has nothing but praise for the Club’s supporters.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Monthe said: “It didn’t go right for us last week, but we have enough character and experience in the squad to bounce back on Saturday. We want to react, get back to winning ways and put in a better performance.

“The fans are so important, they help get us going and they play a massive part.

“We need to be consistent with our performances now on the pitch, we need to play well throughout the season. We have players coming back to from injury, so we have a lot of depth and options within the squad.

“It is good to play alongside Steve McNulty, he is an experienced player and I take on board everything he says. I am improving my game and that all stems from the clean sheets we are keeping and hopefully we will get many more in the future.”
