Wirral Deen football sessions

27 August 2019

Tranmere Rovers recently partnered up with the Wirral Deen Centre to provide Friday night football sessions for children between 8pm-9pm.

The Wirral Deen Centre is a local Mosque and Community Facility which is open to everyone can be found on Borough Road, Birkenhead.

It is a centre where the whole Wirral Community can use for activities, including the Friday night football sessions with TRFC.

And the new Friday night football sessions held at the Centre are open to the Wirral community who want a kickabout.

Set up by Tranmere Rovers chairman Mark Palios and Vice Chairman Nicola Palios, the partnership with Wirral Deen was finalised following the Club’s recent Family Open Day at Prenton Park.

Chris Garland, Facilities Manager at Tranmere Rovers Football Club, said: “We have partnered with the Wirral Deen Centre to provide an environment they can supply coaching activities to their youth teams.

“We are also supplying the use of the gym to their ladies on a weekly basis to introduce their own training plans. This will give the Wirral Deen Centre the chance to introduce Tranmere to their members and hopefully they will all become fans.”
