Ladies Report: Tranmere Rovers 3-0 Wigan Athletic

Tranmere Rovers’ Ladies kicked off their North West Women’s Regional Premier League on Wednesday when they beat Wigan Athletic 3-0 at Ellesmere Port.
 
Rovers bounced back from a Women’s FA Cup defeat away to FC United of Manchester at Broadhurst Park on Sunday in emphatic style as they saw off the Latics in difficult weather conditions.
 
Tranmere were two to the good at half-time courtesy of a double from Georgia Walters to put them in command.
Rovers’ third goal came through Alanna Lynch late in the second-half to seal victory over their Wigan counterparts.
