Khan: Tranmere ticked all the right boxes

10 August 2020

Tranmere Rovers’ newest recruit, Otis Khan, revealed he knew this was the place he wanted to be after meeting manager Mike Jackson three weeks ago.

The attack minded midfielder admitted he was blown away by the facilities the Club had to offer, and it ticked so many boxes for him.

Speaking to the Club’s official website, Khan said: “I am delighted, it is an exciting time and I am really happy to be here. A number of factors were behind my decision to join Tranmere Rovers, but the main reason was the manager.

“The way that he works and I had a really good chat with him and his coaching staff. The way that he works and the goals he has set for the team.

“Obviously alongside all of this, it is a massive football club and the fanbase is brilliant. Whenever I have played here, Prenton Park was bouncing, and we have really passionate fan base, and it was the main attraction for me.

“I have played here against Tranmere for Mansfield, everyone knows it is a hard place to come and to get a result.

“The fact I am now a home player is brilliant and I can’t wait to get going.

“The pitch looks fantastic and it suits my game perfectly. It suits me down to the ground and looking at the new pitch makes you just want to start playing football straight away.

“I found out about the Club’s interest three weeks ago, and the manager asked me to come in for a chat. As soon as I got there and saw the facilities, straight away I thought this is magnificent.

“I had a good chat with the manager and the assistant, and they outlined their plans for me and the football club. Everything seemed too good to turn down, it ticked all the right boxes.”
