Tranmere Rovers will dedicate the rearranged fixture against Crawley Town on Tuesday 28th February (7.45pm kick-off) to celebrating International Women’s Day 2023.
Members of the Tranmere Rovers Women First Team will be taking part in a crossbar challenge on the pitch, and we will be raising money in a bucket collection prior to the match to support the development of women’s football at Tranmere Rovers.
The team from Wirral Grammar School for Girls who recently won their EFL Utilita Girls Cup Area Final will be attending the game as flag bearers ahead of their Regional Final later the same week.
We will also be hearing from our #HerGameToo representatives, who work to ensure football is everyone’s game. By working closely with the #HerGameToo campaign we hope to send a message to all women thinking of coming to a match that we are committed to ensuring Prenton Park is a safe and welcoming environment for all supporters, and you will hear from both of our #HerGameToo representatives ahead of International Women’s Day.
There will also be a page in the match programme dedicated to celebrating the women in our lives, with contributions coming in from Rovers supporters.
There will be a special playlist celebrating International Women’s Day playing out around Prenton Park ahead of the game and at half time.
Keep an eye out on our social media channels in the lead-up to the game and to International Women’s Day itself on Wednesday 8th March to catch all of our content celebrating women at Tranmere Rovers.
