Nigel Adkins said he could see a 'togetherness in everybody' in his team’s performance in his first game in interim charge of Rovers at Prenton Park.
Tranmere defeated Accrington Stanley 2-0 thanks to a Josh Hawkes brace.
“I was really pleased with the players’ application. We can see a togetherness with everybody. The crowd were great as well getting right behind the players.”
“This was a challenging game, I think that was clear for everybody to go and see and I think we’ve matched that very well in the situations that we had to, we scored a couple of good goals, obviously one’s from the penalty spot but it’s creating situations.”
“From my point of view, the whole of the playing squad and the staff are all working very, very hard for each other and the cause which is Tranmere Rovers.”
