Tranmere Rovers defender Connor Wood was disappointed to come away empty-handed after a 1-0 defeat to Barrow, with his side putting in plenty of effort.
“It was one of those games where it probably should have been a 0-0.
"I thought we defended our box so well for pretty much all the game except the goal.
“Up the other end, we had a couple of chances, but there was never a real big threat in their box from us so it was one of them where it should have been 0-0.
“We deserved a point. All the lads worked so hard to graft for each other to get something out of the game.
“It’s a tough place to come, they’ve not lost here this season so if you walked away from here as a 0-0, that’s a big positive for us. It was just one bit of class from them on the edge of the box and it’s gone in the top corner.
“Tough pill to swallow for us when we’ve put in so much effort, I felt we deserved more than what we got.”
