Tranmere Rovers travel to Swindon Town on Saturday 20th January, looking to bounce back to winning ways.
Nigel Adkins’ side were defeated 2-1 at home by Milton Keynes Dons last time out, after a 97th minute winner from Ellis Harrison.
Tranmere visit a Swindon side who have won one of their last eight matches, and recently parted company with manager Michael Flynn and assistant Wayne Hatswell.
Gavin Gunning will lead the side on an interim head coach basis, having taken on the role in a co-interim basis on two previous occasions in 2023.
Rovers were victorious over the Robins in their last meeting, just less than a month ago. Goals from Kieron Morris and Tom Davies secured a 2-1 comeback win at Prenton Park.

One to watch: Charlie Austin
Charlie Austin has been a mainstay in Swindon’s forward line since rejoining the club in the final days of 2022.
The striker scored 37 goals in 65 games for the Robins during 2009 and 2011, before enjoying 11 years across the Premier League and Championship for Burnley, Queens Park Rangers, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion.
Austin won promotion to the topflight with QPR in 2014 and played Europa League football with Southampton, also reaching a League Cup final with the Saints.
The 34-year-old has scored 18 goals in 50 appearances for Swindon since his return to the County Ground and remains a potent threat up front.
Interim Head Coach: Gavin Gunning
Gavin Gunning entered his third spell in interim charge of Swindon, this week, after the departure of manager Michael Flynn.
The 32-year-old was appointed to the Robins’ coaching staff in July 2022, focusing on defensive help following the end of his 14-year senior career as a centre back.
The Irishman played from League One down to the National League North and had a brief loan spell with Rovers in 2009.
Officials:
Referee - Declan Bourne
Assistant Referees - Christopher Husband & Paul Evans
Fourth Official - Alan Cresswell
Bourne last refereed Rovers in our 2-0 league loss to Colchester United in September 2023. He has given 50 yellow cards this season at a rate of 4.55 per game, and a total of three red cards.
