Tranmere Rovers Assistant Manager Neil Danns was delighted with his side's display in beating Notts County on New Year's Day, praising the team's efforts during the festive period.
"That was unbelievable, wasn't it! The lads have been absolutely brilliant over this period.
"We knew it was going to be a tough one. To end the run of games against probably the best footballing side in the division when it comes to moving the ball, I thought the lads were absolutely brilliant today.
"We've seen over this festive period the best and sometimes the worst of us, but we're a side that's honest, we're improving, everyone's working hard for each other and I think they got exactly what they deserved today out there.
"What a way to end the festive period!"
