"I'm satisfied with a valuable point" - Micky Mellon after Stevenage

6 August 2018

We spoke to Micky Mellon after our 2-2 draw with Stevenage on Saturday

“We started the game very well and played some good football but then we caught on the edge of our box with a midfield player side footing the ball in which we can’t allow.

“I felt that we were playing very well, creating chances and controlling the game.

“We scored a fantastic passing goal to get us back in the game and spoke at half time about just continuing what we were doing.

“We came out in the second half looking very dangerous and got the equaliser. We then had a few chances that we’ll be disappointed we didn’t take.

“First game of the season, really hot day and 2-0 down so all in all we’re disappointed we didn’t take all three points but satisfied with a valuable point.”
