Centre half Josef Yarney joined Rovers this summer on a one-year deal after impressing during a trial with the Club.
Originally hailing from Liverpool, the 25-year-old began his youth career with hometown side Everton before moving to Newcastle United, where he enjoyed loan spells at Morecambe and then Chesterfield, which became permanent.
A short stay at Weymouth was followed by a spell in India with Punjab FC. Yarney then signed for Oldham Athletic, where his impressive performances won him the Supporters’ Player of the Year Award for 2022/23
The robust centre half adds depth to Nigel Adkins' defensive options this campaign.
